Description
Duties
- Design and analyze rotary Wankel engine type components using CAD software
- Develop detailed and mechanical drawings for engine parts and assemblies.
- Perform root cause analysis on engine performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize simulation tools like LabVIEW to model system behavior and validate designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes, including CNC machining and system design integration.
- Conduct testing and validation of prototypes using Arduino, LabVIEW, and other measurement tools.
- Engage in project scheduling and coordinate cross-disciplinary tasks to meet project milestones.
- Support troubleshooting efforts related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems within engine applications. Also knowledge of electrical engineering is very helpful!
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Proven experience with internal combustion & Wankel rotary type engines including mechanical design and system analysis. - Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical modeling and drafting.
- Experience with simulation tools including LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and pressure systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, and control system integration.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic problem-solving methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.
