Description

Duties

• Design and analyze rotary Wankel engine type components using CAD software
• Develop detailed and mechanical drawings for engine parts and assemblies.
• Perform root cause analysis on engine performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize simulation tools like LabVIEW to model system behavior and validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes, including CNC machining and system design integration.
• Conduct testing and validation of prototypes using Arduino, LabVIEW, and other measurement tools.
• Engage in project scheduling and coordinate cross-disciplinary tasks to meet project milestones.
• Support troubleshooting efforts related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems within engine applications. Also knowledge of electrical engineering is very helpful!

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  Proven experience with internal combustion & Wankel rotary type engines including mechanical design and system analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical modeling and drafting.
• Experience with simulation tools including LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and pressure systems.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, and control system integration.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.
