Description
What You Will Do
- Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
- Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
- Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
- Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
- Ongoing professional development and growth.
- Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
- Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required
- Other Pharm D. Required
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
- PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
- 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
- Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.
- PGY2 training in internal medicine, pharmacotherapy, or similar specialty are highly preferred.
