Job DescriptionJoin a global team at JPMorgan Chase where your expertise in data management will help shape the future of Firmwide Chief Data Office. You will be at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong, resilient, and forward looking. You will be part of a multi-year journey achieve best-in-class data governance across the firm.
As a Vice President in Firmwide Chief Data Office, you will work with global teams across a wide variety of stakeholders to define and implement processes and capabilities for data quality. The focus of this role will revolve around strengthening the firm's data quality framework by defining standards, procedures, playbooks, and assisting building data quality tooling for measuring the reporting the data quality risk of the bank. You will analyze goals and requirements, assess options and risks, devise effective solutions, and oversee execution. We are looking for a motivated leader to join the team to realize personal success and foster team achievements.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate across line of business CDO functions, Business, and Technology domains to define the approach and requirements for business and technical data quality controls.
- Steer tooling development and capabilities to govern data quality controls and drive adoption withing the CDO community.
- Define scope and minimum requirements for business and technical data quality controls, and standard metrics / quality expectations for data elements that support critical business processes.
- Promote a culture of data quality and accountability through stakeholder engagement, training, and consulting.
- Drive and effectively collaborate in working groups and forums to represent Firmwide CDO perspective and requirements and influence convergence at the Firmwide level
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Information Systems or other related disciplines
- 8 plus years of work experience across domains related to data management and financial services
- Effective in navigating the broader picture by applying strategic and creative thinking, while also demonstrating an in-depth view through strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thoroughly investigate complex issues
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective, credible relationships with colleagues as well as business and technology partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and storytelling; ability to synthesize the right message to the level of audience
- Strong knowledge of data quality related policies and standards
- Familiarity with data management platforms that provide Data Quality controls (e.g. Informatica, Ataccama etc.)
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Finance related Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience with business intelligence solutions, such as Alteryx, Tableau, Qlikview, is a plus
- Conceptual understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL will be advantageous
