We are seeking an inspiring and mission-driven Faculty Program Director for our Cardiovascular Technology program to provide academic leadership, ensure accreditation compliance, and guide the continued growth and success of the program.
This 12-month faculty leadership position oversees program administration, curriculum development, faculty supervision, and continuous improvement efforts. The Program Director works closely with academic leaders, clinical partners, and industry stakeholders to ensure the program remains aligned with workforce needs and regulatory standards. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to shape the direction of the program, mentor faculty, and prepare students for impactful careers in cardiovascular care.
The position includes an annual instructional workload of 9 contact hours during the fall and spring terms and 6 contact hours during the summer term, with additional required contact hours reassigned to fulfill administrative and leadership responsibilities. The Program Director role is subject to annual renewal, with specific duties and time commitments varying based on discipline, program size, accreditation requirements, and institutional resources.

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in cardiovascular technology, OR a Bachelor’s degree in cardiopulmonary sciences OR a Bachelor’s degree in Health sciences or related field by the official start date (Summer 2026).
- Must hold a current, cardiovascular credential from at least one of the concentrations identified in these standards. Licensure or certification must be active and maintained in accordance with applicable national or state regulatory requirements.
- Invasive cardiovascular technology (RCIS)
- Adult cardiac sonography (RDCS or RCS)
- Cardiac Electrophysiology (RCES);
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in cardiovascular health care.
- Demonstrated education and/or experience in instructional methodology, including curriculum development, management, and teaching.
- This position may require face-to-face, online, and mixed-mode teaching modalities
Note: Mixed-Mode is a hybrid modality that includes face-to-face and asynchronous online instruction weekly. - Please note that you will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.

Salary: Salary is determined based on relevant work experience and the highest degree earned. The salary ranges for each degree level are outlined below:
Bachelors: $68,039 – $85,372 Per Year
Masters: $73,288 – $90,621 Per Year
Masters+30: $78,537 – $95,870 Per Year
Doctorate: $83,786, $101,119 Per Year
This position includes a $10,000 annual Valencia College Pay Additive, paid in biweekly installments in addition to base salary, plus a $5,000 relocation incentive—part of Valencia College’s commitment to attracting and supporting exceptional clinical and academic talent.
