Overview
We are seeking a Manager Software Tools to design, implement, and maintain software solutions within Lutron's Go To Market (GTM) tools space. These tools delight the customer and ensure the successful deployment of Lutron products on a job, including design, quote, order, program and maintain. In this role you will manage common platforms, lead technical teams, interface with customer application teams, and present to senior stakeholders to define a strategic platform vision. You will report directly to the Director - Software Tools and collaborate closely with Engineering and IT stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership Design and implement sustainable technical architecture for key components of the Connected Workflow including Lutron Connect Web Platform, Lutron IoT Cloud Services, and 3rd Party Integration Solutions. Align technical vision to deliver on business objectives, and present to technical stakeholders through the VP level Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of modern architectures, including cloud-native, AI-driven, and low-code/no-code platforms. Establish and enforce technical standards, governance models, and best practices for GTM tool development and integration. Partner with business leaders to translate complex requirements into scalable and sustainable architecture. People and Team Development Lead a team of technical solution architects.Mentor the broader department and Community of Practice with technical best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned7+ years of experience in software tools development, with at least 3 years in a senior role. Experience with GTM Tools (Commerce Solutions, Salesforce, Logik, New Relic, PowerBI). Demonstrated understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD). Proven communication skills across peers and technical stakeholders. Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable business impact.
