Chester County Community Foundation is a philanthropic catalyst for positive change, strategically and intentionally engaging donors and partners to address the common good, transforming our region into a better place for all.
As stewards of generosity, Chester County Community Foundation goes beyond mere administration, imparting smart grantmaking counsel and helping its fund advisors award impactful grants and scholarships throughout the U.S., with a focus on regional issues. The organization is entrusted with 430+ family, individual, donor-advised, community group and nonprofit legacy funds, and is one of 900+ Community Foundations across the U.S.
The President & CEO will spearhead initiatives to advance CCCF’s strategic objectives to grow legacy philanthropy, working closely with staff, Board, fund advisors, estate planning professional advisors, community leaders, nonprofits and funding partners.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a person of high energy and integrity, with a track record of innovation, authentically attracting resources and expanding investors. They are financially and technologically astute, intellectual and curious, culturally attuned and experienced in successfully strengthening community relationships.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Proven track record of successful leadership in a community service, and/or philanthropic setting, with significant experience in executive roles.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive organizational growth.
Deep commitment to community service and a strong understanding of the region and its needs.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
Strong management practices at a senior level in organizational issues; personnel recruitment, development and retention; and building collaborative relationships among stakeholders.
In addition to the preferred qualifications, the CEO/President should demonstrate knowledge in raising major gifts, planned gifts and/or attracting invested assets, along with an understanding of investments, budget management, financial planning and internal controls.
