Correctional psychiatry opportunities available across Texas with no call, no weekends, and the option for 4x10s at select sites.

Highlights

• No call and no weekends - Monday to Friday only
• Full-time 40 hour weeks - 4x10s available (not in Richmond or Austin)
• Open to IMLC Psychiatrists
• Long-term assignment - must be open to locum to perm

Practice Setting

• Male-only correctional facilities
• Mix of telepsych and in-person roles (tele is onsite only)
• Psychiatric mid-level support onsite
• G1 and G2 custody level populations

Schedule

• Weekday coverage only - flexible shift start times
• Full-time only - part-time not accepted
• Early 2026 starts available - multiple sites

Cases and Procedures

• Psych, neuro, and physical exams
• Medication management and due process evals
• No forensic experience required, but helpful

Requirements

• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Active Texas license or IMLC LOQ
• BLS, DEA, and clean background required
• Must be willing to consider permanent conversion
