Description
OverviewAPES is a private markets investment platform with a global mandate. Since inception, we have focused on generating attractive risk-adjusted returns from Private Equity and Private Credit fund and co-investments by taking a value-oriented approach to investing. Originally founded in 2019 as a single family office, we are built to serve the distinct needs of our proprietary and partners' capital and continue to maintain a culture of highly-aligned investing.
APES is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Technology Operations & Program Manager to design, implement, monitor and maintain the technology solutions used in workflows and processes across our investment, finance and operations teams. The successful candidate will work closely with business unit stakeholders to understand operational workflows and controls to identify and suggest solutions that would generate value. Some technical background either in implementation or development is strongly preferred, although no day-to-day development work is required, as this role will primarily focus on driving the configuration and customization of third party solutions and systems. This role will also be responsible for working with an external IT managed services provider to ensure the security, scalability and efficiency of the firm's technology infrastructure.
Your Main Duties & Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Implementation
- Lead and drive the design and implementation of a comprehensive technology solutions suite which is aligned with APES' business objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with business unit stakeholders to ensure that the firm's technology solutions are integrated with, and improve, workflows and processes across the investment, finance and operations teams.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation and adoption of technology solutions. Train teams on new ways of working; create excitement around the use of new tools. Monitor the usage of technology solutions by users and consistently evaluate the usefulness of implemented solutions, suggesting improvements and/or changes as necessary.
- Analyze and where appropriate, advocate for and drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning, to enhance data analysis, reporting and investment decision-making processes.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that deliver maximum ROI.
Technology Operations, Contingency & Support
- Working with the firm's external IT managed services provider: (i) oversee the day-to-day operations of APES' technology hardware and software, ensuring high availability, performance and reliability of all systems, including suggesting upgrades/replacements where necessary; (ii) monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and user experience; and (iii) review and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime in the event of system failures or cyberattacks.
- Act as the primary contact person for all interactions with the firm's external IT managed services provider, including following up with the IT helpdesk as necessary to provide timely resolution of any users' technical issues.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure consistent and seamless delivery of selected technology solutions; assess the quality of the services delivered.
Systems Security & Compliance
Coordinate and collaborate with the firm's external IT managed services provider to:
- maintain a robust cybersecurity framework to ensure that the firm's data, systems and infrastructure are protected from internal and external threats;
- ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards and maintain up to date security policies for data storage, retention and access controls; and
- conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Requirements
