Role summary
The Junior Business Analyst works closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements. The role supports the translation of business needs into clear Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and contributes to test definition and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users to understand processes, needs, and pain points
• Support requirements elicitation activities (workshops, interviews, document reviews)
• Analyse and structure business requirements into clear functional requirements
• Prepare and maintain Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements
• Support test definition, including test conditions, expected results, and traceability between requirements and test cases
• Support UAT activities, including test execution support, defect logging, triage, and follow-up with IT teams
• Assist with change requests, impact analysis, and documentation updates throughout the delivery lifecycle

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
• 0-3 years of experience in business analysis, IT delivery, or a related role
• Understanding of SDLC and basic testing concepts (test cases, defects, UAT)
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to functional documentation (FSD, BRD, user stories)
• Experience supporting UAT and defect management processes
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
