Description
Responsibilities- Reporting directly to the CFO and treasurer of the bank, this senior role will oversee, manage and grow the treasury markets product control team providing commercial insight and guidance to the business
- This team are responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely P&L and balance sheets in relation to the treasury trading team activities and treasury market execution books. This includes a broad range of treasury products and the desk also allocate funding for the bank
- Treasury product control are responsible for formulating and executing liquidity, funding and capital plans as well as assisting with the management of the asset and liability portfolio for financial markets
- Providing financial analysis and forecasting to support and shape decision making whilst proactively monitoring market conditions to predict potential impact on performance
- Oversight and control of the treasury dealing room with a focus on quality assurance, ensuring treasury policies and procedures are followed and risk is minimised
- Strategic planning of head count as well as continuous mentoring and training of direct reports
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and regulatory reporting requirements as well as maintaining accurate financial documentation
- This team work closely with trade support, technology and financial control as well as other infrastructure divisions within the bank to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of the trading desk activity
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have 15 years + experience within Treasury Product Control functions from an investment bank of financial services organisation with a track record of success as a leader within a senior management role
- You will have in depth knowledge of the treasury function front to back as well as building a risk management framework and a high performing team
- Head office and international experience will be highly regarded
