The Department of Infectious Diseases in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time position at the level of Assistant Research Scientist. We seek an individual with research experience in areas related to pathogenic viruses, including development of vaccines and therapeutics. Expertise on emerging viruses that require high containment such as Nipah virus, Marburg virus and Ebola virus are highly encouraged to apply. The position includes a very competitive salary.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a PhD, DVM, or MD degree in a biomedical or biological science, and evidence of productive postdoctoral training is preferred. The successful candidate would build on the research strengths of the Department of Infectious Diseases and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
