Description
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and operate production-grade infrastructure for real-time payment platforms, ensuring high availability, low latency, and strong reliability aligned to SLAs.
- Build and maintain automated provisioning and deployment pipelines (CI/CD), enabling repeatable releases and safe upgrades without business disruption.
- Implement and continuously improve platform resiliency (capacity planning, failover/DR strategies, zero-downtime patterns, runbooks, and operational readiness).
- Establish and evolve observability standards (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting) to reduce MTTR and improve platform hygiene.
- Support containerized workloads and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes), including configuration, scaling, networking, and security hardening.
- Partner with development teams to translate business and non-functional requirements (e.g., throughput, settlement windows, reconciliation, fraud controls, regulatory constraints) into infrastructure designs.
- Drive technical execution across environments (dev/test/stage/prod), including test environment creation, data/config management, and release coordination.
- Ensure compliance with security reviews, risk assessments, and technology lifecycle management standards; proactively identify hidden risks and remediate.
- Collaborate with global teams, providing technical leadership and coordinating multiple initiatives across team members.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience as an Software Engineer / DevOps / Platform Engineer / SRE in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with agile methodologies and end-to-end delivery, including operational ownership.
- Proven track record supporting high-throughput, mission-critical platforms with low error rates and demanding uptime requirements.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Microservices / SOA and RESTful integrations
- Messaging/streaming technologies such as Kafka and/or RabbitMQ
- Source control (e.g., Git)
- UNIX/Linux fundamentals and shell scripting
- CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins
- Observability / log management (e.g., Splunk, Grafana)
- Database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL concepts, performance and reliability considerations)
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Financial services domain knowledge, ideally in payments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with PIX ecosystem concepts (real-time payments, participant connectivity, high-availability requirements, reconciliation/settlement considerations).
- Cloud experience: AWS and/or Cloud Foundry.
- Familiarity with JVM-based ecosystems (e.g., Spring Boot / Spring Batch) from an infrastructure/platform enablement perspective.
- Scripting/automation using Groovy or similar languages.
