A leading global trading firm is looking for a C# Developer to join its Core Trading Technology team in either Hong Kong or Sydney.

This is a front-office engineering role sitting close to the trading business, where technology, trading, and quantitative research work closely together. The firm develops much of its trading technology in-house, and engineers work directly with traders, researchers, and other technology teams to build systems that support live trading activity across the business.

The Core Trading Technology team is responsible for a broad range of business-critical applications, including market data systems, trading analysis tools, real-time messaging platforms, trade monitoring applications, and other systems used directly by trading teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop business-critical trading applications

• Build both server-side systems and user-facing applications

• Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Support applications across the full development lifecycle, from development and testing through to deployment and production

• Contribute to improvements across tooling, automation, system design, and engineering practices

• Help ensure trading systems are reliable, scalable, and fit for front-office use

Key Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience with C#

• Experience building robust, business-critical applications

• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and development best practices

• Comfortable working closely with end users in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Interest in financial markets, trading technology, or front-office systems

• Experience with market data, real-time systems, messaging platforms, or trading applications would be advantageous, but is not essential
