Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to join a newly established single family office as its first CFO/Finance Director. This is a founding role with responsibility for building and overseeing the entire finance function, ensuring robust systems, controls, and reporting frameworks are in place to support the family's investment and operating activities. The office represents a foreign principal with a global portfolio, adding an international dimension to the role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and manage the finance operating model, including reporting cycles, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury oversight.
2. Lead the design and implementation of finance systems (ERP, general ledger, expense workflows, consolidation tools, etc.) to ensure seamless integration with investment and operational reporting.
3. Develop and enforce strong governance practices, including payment approvals, audit readiness, and tax coordination.
4. Manage external providers such as auditors, tax advisers, administrators, and payroll vendors.
5. Build and lead the internal finance team, starting with a Finance Manager and expanding as the office scales.

Candidate Profile

1. 10+ years of experience in finance within investment platforms, family offices, or principal capital environments.
2. Demonstrated success in implementing finance systems and processes from the ground up.
3. Strong expertise in multi-entity reporting, treasury visibility, and control management.
4. Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels.
5. Exposure to offshore structures (Hong Kong, Cayman, BVI) and a mix of Big Four and buy-side experience is advantageous.
