Regional Medical Center's Chief Executive Officer administers, directs and coordinates all activities of the hospital and clinics to carry out its vision, mission, and values. This position promotes favorable public relations; negotiates for improvement of hospital buildings and equipment; coordinates activities of medical staff with those of other departments, and recommends and develops policies and procedures for the various hospital activities and performs related administrative and supervisory duties to ensure the efficient operation of the hospital. This position serves as Chair of the Strategic Advisory Council and the Administrative Council in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making to assure quality services.

Board Relations

Works with the board of trustees to create an optimal governance environment.

Assesses the hospital financial condition, providing complete reports to the board of trustees on a monthly basis.

Apprises the results of programs and services and reports findings on a regular basis to the board of trustees.

Provides on a regular basis education programs for the board of trustees.

Develops long-range investment strategies for board approval.

Supports the policies, procedures, and philosophy of the board of trustees.

Assists with the appointment, orientation and coordination of new members of the board of trustees.
Medical Staff Relations

Has good rapport with the medical staff.

Communicates with and works closely with the medical staff members on matters of mutual concern.

Establishes and implements with the medical staff an effective credentialing process. Assures board involvement and approval.

Assists when appropriate with the development and revision of staff bylaws and related policies and control systems.

Assists in determining community health care needs and in conjunction with the medical staff assumes leadership role in physician recruitment.

The compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's experience, including a base salary and performance-based bonus, with total comp ranging from $320-$420K.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field

5 or more years of experience in executive level healthcare management preferred
