Kendal at Hanover (KaH), located near Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, is an accredited resident-centric, not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering a complete line of services. Strong relationships among board, residents, and staff create a unique sense of community, connectivity, and rapport.
Home to approximately 400 residents on a gorgeous 65-acre campus along the Connecticut River, KaH has 250 independent living residences, 33 assisted living apartments, 19 private memory support rooms, and 48 private nursing care rooms. An Early Learning Center adds a multi-generational dynamic to the community and the on-site Dartmouth Health Kendal Clinic and direct connection to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is a stand-out offering. Residents have access to support through all areas of wellness, and Kendal at Hanover continues to be a significant leader in evidence-based practice and application of current research in all areas of service.
Kendal at Hanover is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will envision and implement the future direction of KaH and aging services in the region. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an innovator, and a team-builder with demonstrated experience in strategic planning and the ability to nurture relationships within and outside of the KaH community.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred, and at least 10 years of management and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fiscal management, results-driven leadership, oversight of complex organizations, and program development designed to strengthen engagement among residents, families, and staff. The candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to KaH’s Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles and value the community’s commitment to sustainability (Environmental, financial, cultural), mutual respect, and work-life balance.
