Description
Responsibilities:Project management
• Manage small to medium sized projects ranging from business venture, market entry, strategic partnership, policy formation to IT infrastructure enhancement etc.
• Prepare project artifacts across project lifecycle (e.g. terms of reference, project plan) to achieve robust governance, efficient execution and effective communications
• Foster decisions, consensus and communications across project team members through steering committee meeting, working group meetings and other means
• Adopt industry best practice to identify, document, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues when they come up
Change management
• Help articulate management's directives and head-office's requests for communications, discussions and execution
• Formulate proposal to achieve firm wide priorities such as management restructuring, corporate governance review, target operating model formulation, brand refresh etc.
• Critically assess different options for achieving firm wide priorities based on commercial, financial, compliance and other considerations
• Develop reports to track status of change management initiatives, mobilize action owners to execute the tasks timely, and escalate risks / issues encountered
Strategic planning & analysis
• Deliver independent advice to the management on the firm's performance, opportunities & threats, emerging industry trends and ad-hoc queries
• Utilize desktop research, interview with subject matter experts and other means to gather facts and data to substantiate / validate hypotheses
• Write clear, concise and compelling strategy report (and other forms of deliverables) by adopting storytelling approach and systematic frameworks
• Contribute to formulation and annual review of mid-to-long term strategic plan when appropriate
Country management & operational risk governance
• Develop dashboards to monitor development, performance and governance of country offices (Singapore, Tokyo, London, New York etc.)
• Provide assistance to business lines and country offices in initiatives involving cross department and/or cross border collaborations
• Act as "1.5" line of defense to facilitate communications and cooperation between 1st line of defense (business line) and risk steward (risk management, compliance etc.)
• Support manager to act as chief-of-staff to COO in incident management, operational risk governance and other matters
Requirement:
• 5-6 years of relevant working experience (for associate role) or 8+ years of relevant working experience (for associate director role)
• Open to candidates who are management consultants, corporate / business strategists, project managers (not IT PM) and business management professionals
• Capability of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders of different seniority, cultural background, or technical background
• Prior exposure to the environment and products of investment banks, private banks, corporate banks, asset managers, retail / commercial banks etc.
• Good command of Mandarin and English (Cantonese is a plus)
