Up to $1250 a day, ex GST
About the Opportunity
We are working with a large professional services organisation who are embarking on a major Workday transformation program and is seeking a Data Analyst to play a critical role in preparing, cleansing, validating, and migrating HR and Finance data into the new platform.
This individual will become the primary data specialist supporting the Workday implementation, working across HR, Payroll, Finance, and external implementation partners.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys data quality, data migration, HR systems, and business transformation projects, and wants exposure to a large-scale Workday implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Data Quality
- Analyse, cleanse, enrich and validate employee, payroll and organisational data.
- Investigate data quality issues and resolve inconsistencies across multiple source systems.
- Create meaningful workforce reporting and insights including:
- Starters and leavers
- Turnover
- Workforce movements
- Position management
- Organisational structures
- Support end-to-end migration of HR, Payroll and Finance data into Workday.
- Extract data from multiple HR and payroll systems.
- Perform source-to-target mapping activities.
- Prepare datasets for migration and testing cycles.
- Conduct reconciliation, validation and data quality checks.
- Support cutover and go-live activities.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and system integrators.
- Participate in Workday design workshops and data workstreams.
- Act as the key data SME within the project team.
- Develop SQL queries and data extracts.
- Manipulate and transform large datasets using Excel.
- Build dashboards, reports and data insights where required.
- Support development of data migration logic and extraction processes.
- Experience as a Data Analyst, HR Data Analyst, Data Migration Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Previous involvement in ERP, HCM, HRIS or Workday implementations.
- Strong experience with:
- Data cleansing
- Data migration
- Data mapping
- Data validation
- Data reconciliation
- Data quality management
- Advanced Excel skills.
- SQL capability.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Previous Workday implementation experience.
- Exposure to Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance or EIBs.
- Experience migrating data from HR or payroll platforms.
- Experience working on multiple ERP/HCM implementations.
- Knowledge of HR data structures and workforce reporting.
- VBA, macros or automation experience.
