The Member Data Transition Analyst is responsible for accurately loading, processing, requesting, and transmitting member related data files between internal systems and external Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). This role operates in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, especially during peak season, and requires a high level of attention to detail, timeliness, and accountability to ensure seamless member transitions and data integrity.
Primary job duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare, validate, and load member data files in accordance with established processes, layouts and schedules
- Coordinate internal handoffs of files to downstream teams
- Review files for completeness, formatting accuracy, and data integrity prior to release
- Track timelines and flag risks or delays early
- Maintain clear internal documentation and status updates throughout the transition lifecycle
- Support issue resolution by identifying root causes and partnering with internal stakeholders
- Adhere to established controls, deadlines, and audit requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in PBM or healthcare administration
- Experience working with large data files and external vendors preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including sorting, filtering, and basic analysis)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with file formats such as CSV, Excel, and fixed‑width files
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access
- Basic understanding of data transmission methods (SFTP, secure file exchange)
- Familiarity with PBM data concepts (claims, prior authorizations, accumulations, open refill transfers)
- Ability to troubleshoot file errors, formatting issues, or data mismatches
- Prior experience working in a regulated or compliance‑sensitive environment

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 - $85,068.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
