Our client, a leading systematic, multi strategy hedge fund , is looking for a Senior AI Software & Platform Engineer in London to help drive the adoption of AI across a cutting-edge quantitative trading environment. Sitting within a highly technical engineering function, you will work closely with researchers, developers and trading teams to build AI-powered tools, intelligent assistants, and agent-based systems that enhance productivity and accelerate innovation across the business. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI-powered applications, assistants, and agentic workflows
• Design and develop integrations between AI systems and enterprise tools, repositories, databases, and knowledge bases
• Create intelligent AI agents capable of interacting with internal systems and APIs
• Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, and technologies for business adoption
• Partner with engineering, research, and trading teams to identify and deliver high-impact AI solutions

Requirements

• Strong software engineering expertise with Python
• Experience building and operating production-grade software systems
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and software architecture
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI platforms, and modern AI tooling
• Proven ability to independently deliver complex projects from concept through to production
