The LINK Department is a highly diverse and technologically advanced organization within Rakuten Symphony, Inc. Our team, comprised of members from over 10 countries, fosters a culture of open respect and creativity. Our core product, "Rakuten Link," is a comprehensive communication and ecosystem app for Rakuten Mobile customers, offering services such as calls, messaging, news, cash transfers, and point rewards. LINK Desktop further extends this communication experience to PCs and laptops.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Manager to lead our data analytics efforts within Rakuten Link's product management and business development processes. This role is pivotal in transforming raw data into actionable insights to inform product strategy, optimize user experience, and drive business growth. Leveraging advanced Gen-AI technologies, you will act as a strategic thinker who solves complex product challenges and ensures product-market fit.
Job Duties
- Data Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the data analytics strategy for Rakuten Link, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Advanced Analytics & Insights: Design and execute complex analyses, including A/B testing, user segmentation, behavioral analysis, and predictive modeling to uncover deep insights into product performance.
- KPI Definition & Tracking: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and monitor KPIs that accurately reflect product health and business impact.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex findings to product teams and senior management.
- Data Infrastructure & Governance: Partner with data engineering to ensure data quality and accessibility. Establish best practices for data collection and governance.
- Product Optimization: Drive data-driven experimentation to optimize features, user flows, and the overall user experience.
- Strategic Consultation: Act as a trusted advisor to product leadership, providing data-backed recommendations for roadmaps, feature prioritization, and market expansion.
- Market Analysis: Leverage data to monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to inform product differentiation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in data analytics or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in product analytics within a technology or telecommunications company.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level SQL skills; proficiency in statistical analysis using R or Python (Pandas/NumPy/SciPy).
- Visualization: Strong experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Communication: Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Strategic Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken) is highly preferred.
- Preferred: Marketing knowledge is considered a strong asset for cross-functional team leadership.
