Process Overview
Global Information Security (GIS) protects the Bank's systems, data, and platforms. The Cyber Security Technology function develops and maintains security products, including SOAR platforms such as Tines, to enable secure and scalable operations.
Job Description
This role is responsible for designing and delivering observability, analytics, and reporting capabilities for the SOAR platform (Tines). The Splunk Analyst will build a unified data foundation by inventorying and normalizing Tines-generated logs, enabling consistent reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Key focus areas include developing production-grade dashboards, alerts, and reporting frameworks to monitor platform health, adoption, and operational performance across 25+ teams. The analyst will partner with engineering and security operations teams to improve visibility, drive standardization, and enable actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Splunk-based observability solutions for SOAR (Tines) platform
- Inventory, ingest, and normalize logs from Tines workflows into Splunk
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary for log sources and metrics
- Build dashboards and reporting for:
- Platform health and reliability
- Workflow performance and failures
- Adoption and usage trends across teams
- Configure alerts and monitoring rules to proactively identify issues
- Partner with engineering and security operations teams to:
- Define data models and reporting requirements
- Improve instrumentation and logging standards
- Develop stakeholder-facing reporting that drives adoption and transparency
- Enable data-driven decision making through actionable insights and trend analysis
- Continuously enhance dashboards, queries, and data models for performance and scalability
- Ensure observability solutions align with enterprise data governance and security standards
Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Certifications If Any : NA
Experience Range : 8+ years
Foundational skills
- Splunk Expertise: Strong proficiency in SPL, dashboards, alerts, and data ingestion
- Data Modeling & Normalization: Experience structuring log data for scalable analytics
- Observability & Monitoring: Hands-on with logging, metrics, alerting, and platform health tracking
- SOAR & Security Platforms: Exposure to Tines or similar orchestration platforms
- Dashboard Development: Ability to design intuitive, insight-driven dashboards for diverse stakeholders
- Programming/Scripting: Working knowledge of Python or similar languages for data processing
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate technical data into clear, business-relevant insights
- Data Governance: Understanding of data quality, consistency, and security principles
Desired skills
- Experience with Tines or other SOAR platforms
- Familiarity with security operations workflows and incident management
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Exposure to enterprise observability frameworks
- Experience working with cross-functional teams at scale (20+ teams)
- Exposure to platform engineering, developer enablement, or self-service automation models.
- Certifications in PKI, Venafi, or related security technologies.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environmen
