Wal-Mart is seeking a Director, Data Science in Bentonville, AR. Job duties incl but not limited to dvlp'g & testing features, creating POCs, deploying SW, documenting code, & updating progress. Master's or equiv in Info Systs, IT, or rel. fld + 4 yrs of exp in analytics or rel. exp; OR Bachelor's or equiv in Info Systs, IT, or rel. fld + 6 yrs of exp in analytics or rel. exp. Skills req'd incl but not limited to exp w/: Mng'g a team of data scientists that implement AI/ML solutions in area of Fraud modeling; Training & deploying supervised classification models using Python/Spark to detect fraud in real-time; Training & deploying unsupervised ntwrk & cluster models using Python/Spark to detect fraud anomalies; Mining lrg datasets to discover transaction patterns, examine retail data (orders, sales, returns) & isolate targeted info using traditional & advanced data sci techniques. Employer will accept any amount of exp w/ req'd skills. The role will also supervise: 2: Staff Data Scientist; 3: Data Scientists; 4: Senior Data Scientists.
